Upgrading

Website Version

Upgrading a website dll is a simple process.

  1. Copy the new dll into your bin folder overriding the previous version.


Server Version

  1. Delete the previous installation
  2. Follow the steps in the install.txt file to re-install the new dll.


In Visual Studio

  1. Delete the dotnetCHARTING reference in your visual studio project.
  2. Add a new reference pointing to the new dll.
  3. If you have the component in the toolbox.
    1. Remove it by right-clicking > Delete
    2. Add it again, right click on the toolbox > Add/Remove Items > .net Framework Components tab > Browse > find the new dll.
    3. Click OK.
  4. Recompile project.
